Wednesday 16th October

Heavy rain overnight and through the day, but mild. Dottie has been asleep in her box most of the day, and the boys are through the house. The dogs are outside, but they’re nuts.

No idea where Monday and Tuesday went. Tuesday, Lorna, Linda and I went clothes shopping in Dundee – maybe my brain has shut out the trauma  It was fine – got some clothes for Lorna, which was the objective.

The parts for our car are now not going to be in until 22nd October – that’s over two months since the accident. Hope we have it back to go on holiday.

Final preparations underway for the Festival – this is when things unravel, folk call off, all the detail has to be dealt with.

I’m going down to Edinburgh tomorrow, picking up the raw fleece crates and the Hebridean hogget on the way. The hogget isn’t actually ON the way, but requires a bit of a detour. Staying over to get an early start on the set-up on Friday.

Thursday 17th October

Well, that’s me loaded up the car and off to Edinburgh. Next post will be Sunday 20th, when it’s all over for another year and all over for me.

Sunday 20th October

Phew, and that’s it all over for another year. Apart from the tidying up of papers and boxes. And the debrief meeting on Wednesday.

Boxes now turned out, rubbish disposed of, and the boxes repacked. Working through the paperwork, but it won’t be finished until tomorrow.

Hoping that Storm Ashley passes over us without causing too much damage.
