More people seem to forget to do this than remember, so I had two ideas that might help.

1.  Rename Marketplace to 'Marketplace (please put location in Subject line)'
2.  Make a sticky topic at the top of Marketplace, subject 'Please put location in Subject line'

I had other ideas but they were not kind...  ;)
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

As a temporary fix I've updated the Marketplace rules sticky.

On the new site (coming soon!) there will be a reminder to add a location shown when posting a new thread to the Marketplace.

I'm also thinking about producing a small-ads section on the website, and a dedicated livestock wanted/for sale section which will have location details built-in.

Hi that would be good, living in Yorks I see things for sale + either have to look at profile of maybe previous posts for clues where sellers live, not much point in getting excited if they aren't fairly near for collecting :(
I wonder how many people read the sticky?

how about having our location under our names/avatars? even just a county would help things along a bit.
you may light another's candle from your own without loss
