1 acre agricultural land.

Hi guys,  I'm wondering if you can help me. I own a 1 acre plot of agricultural land do I need planning permission to put up a 2m fence around my land this would just be on the outside of an existing tree-line also would I need planning for 1.2m stock fencing to make pens for my livestock and lastly I have a horsebox I use for tool, hay and straw storage would I need planning for that . Do you have a CPH (county parish holding) number ?

That would make life easier

And are you in England or further north ?

Different rules apply to different parts of the UK, Matt, but generally you don't need planning permission to erect a stock fence unless you are changing access to a road - the verges 'belong' to the council apparently, so if you want to cut through a verge or block it, you need to inform the Roads dept.
The best thing, as bywaters says, is to apply for a Holding Number.  Once you have that you can contact your local planning department to see just what you can and can't do.  I think it unlikely you need PP for a horsebox if you mean a vehicular horse transport wheeled trailer.  If you mean a static horse shelter then you may need PP, although in general on agricultural land you can put up buildings up to 4 metres in height.  It's always best to start off on the right foot with the planning department, just in case you need them on your side later on.
