spent a lot of today in hospital with my OH who has just had a total knee replacement. He's in a lot of pain but says it will be worth it in the end.

Friends who have had knee replacements all say the same thing.  Do the exercises and get as much work into it as you can.  The ones that did not now regret not doing so.

My aunt is one of those. She didn't do the exercises and now has a twisted knee. He's been in too much pain to do any since he came out but he has physio tomorrow so that should help.

Checking outside and general tidying of vegetable and flower gardens. I also picked some pears from a branch that had snapped under the weight of loads of fruit.

It's a shame this thread died - it was fun!

Anyway, today I have been pruning apple trees.

Maybe We've all been to busy !!  Maybe not .
Looking back through the posts , I could have copied and pasted  and just change the dates, but then I suppose 2020 came along and changed the routine.
My " retirement " came , went,came,went.... and eventually through Ill health came for good.
So for today I have been mainly  retired , :roflanim: :roflanim: :roflanim: :roflanim: :roflanim: :roflanim:

Swimming.  I did 60 lengths of the pool and will regret it tomorrow.  I have booked more swimming for the rest of this week :)

Anyway, today I have been pruning apple trees.

Bit late [member=2128]Womble[/member], but I have to admit that I haven't managed to get round to pruning my own garden Blenheim Orange yet - urgent task for this week.  Can prune anytime, but increased risk of infections (supposedly) outside of standard winter (Jan/Feb) or summer (July/early Aug) pruning times.  Whatever time of year, dry weather is the time to do it so best I follow your example and get on with it without any further delay.
