I just had a look at the website that Anke recommended and was anused to see the variety “The Lazy Housewife”.
I first came across this when visiting a seed company in S Africa for work. I commented that such a name may not proove successful in the UK as we may consider it sexist.  The (male) business managers who were showing me round looked very perplexed and carefully explained that it was a very appropriate name for the bean as clearly a good housewife would put more effort in and grow french beans !

I find Borlotti beans are good. Crop well, store well and can be used over a wide variety of recipes. There taste is quite sweet and a they have a smooth texture.
