Weighing a sheep
« on: September 13, 2009, 10:00:23 pm »
I don't have a weigh crate and I'm about to worm the sheep. I know it's important not to underdose so does anyone have a way of estimating a sheep's weight, similar to the one for pigs?

Thanks

:pig: hi i have never come across a sheep weigh system like pig & cattle but if we need to know the weight of any smalll livestock we use a sling and a set of scales mounted from a beam in the barn, or you could stand on a set of scales and then hold the sheep take off your weight and there you go thats what our vets do with dogs.
i hope this is of some help to you if not sorry :)
