Suitable trees for sheep paddock
« on: October 31, 2012, 10:40:08 am »
I'm wanting to plant some trees down the side of the sheep field and obviously want them to be safe for the sheep (leaves, berries, fruits etc) I wondered if anyone could give me some ideas for suitable trees, preferably native British trees. Thanks

Beech would be good, hawthorn, dog rose, willow etc

Mine adore hazel and elder
Plus the list from lachlanandmarcus :sheep:

But it's here, and it's happening.
Massive,
but passive.

Are all those safe for goats?  I have to get organised and plant some hedging and trees which would be safe for all.  Hope they get a chance to grow before the little sods eat them!
