Abbatoir recommendations please
« on: September 04, 2020, 04:17:41 pm »
Does anyone have any recommendations for abbatoirs in the West Norfolk, North Cambs, South Lincs area please? Our regular abbatoir in Wisbech has now closed so looking for alternatives

We use Blakes near Norwich and have found them very good.

In the end we went to Wrights at Boston mainly because our local butcher in our village collects carcasses from there and does the cutting. Our usual little local abattoir is closed at the moment. They turned out to be our next nearest one and they seemed ok, bigger than we are used to but very clean and well organised. I dread doing it every year  :'(
