You know those skinny bits of PSB you've got.......
« on: May 06, 2016, 05:18:07 pm »
End of the purple sprouting broccoli season and there's just a few straggly skinny bits left, too good to waste but not very succulent  :brocolli:.  I picked a large handful, steamed for a few mins til just tender, cooled, dried on kitchen roll then tossed in a vinaigrette dressing with a twist of salt.  Really scrummy, like samphire - I grew up in Norfolk and we used to go to Holkham to pick samphire from the beach  :hungry:

'Nother samphire fan here; used to forage for it along the North Devon coast.  :yum:

Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
