limping cockerel day 3 - what do you think?
« on: June 08, 2010, 09:38:01 am »
Our boy has done something to his foot or leg, he does not want to come out of the house first thing and was limping quite badly yesterday...It looks normal from a distance, but I shy from catching him in this kind if weather just to have a closer look and cause more upset by doing that. :&>

He is now out and about again with his girls but his foot is definitely swollen. I did a bit of research on bumblefoot. If this is it, has anyone experienced that it gets better by itself? It is definitely only one foot, I assume he has injured himself and it got infected... :chook: :&>

Kerstin I had the vet out on Monday and one of the things I was worried about was a badly limping duck who also had a swollen leg. Infcetion was rge answer and she is now on anti biotics 2 times a day and slowly improving.
