Hello every one.

I've just got a lovely patch of grass that I'm planning to turn into a small holding, very exciting.  anyone got and tips or pointers to start me off? its currently a very large patch of relatively flat grass!

How big is your patch and what do you want to achieve, what do you like doing and how much time do you have?

Livestock is a 365 days a year thing - and while a neighbour might feed hens if you want a break, s/he might be less willing to milk goats or feed pigs.

  and welcome from Shropshire? Flat is good if you are planning to cultivate it. Less important for animals although it makes fencing easier.
