Today I have been mainly sleeping. Got up at 9.20 to milk the goat, then back to bed until around 2pm. The reason is that I was doing my voluntary work as a Street Pastor and didn't get to bed until 5.30am.

Today I have finally spent some time in my garden, lots done, lotsmore to do...

Oh and our first bee colony arrived today, can't wait till wed/Thurs when we move them into their new home...

They were out flying today and did start bringing pollen in really quickly which was good to watch...

Hi MGM....excuse my ignorance but what is a Street Pastor?

We go out at night to help people who, for whatever reason (usually alcohol induced), need help. WE give out flip flops to girls who can't walk in their very high heels, space blankets to those who are cold, sick bags and water to those who need them, very often holding the sick bag for them to use and mopping them up afterwards. Last Saturday we helped two girls who were assaulted by an older woman as they attempted to board a train, stayed with them until the police and the father of one of the girls had arrived and two SPs who witnessed the assault then gave statements to the police. We also helped other girls who were barely able to stand due to being drunk. We also try to avert fights, often successfully.

I have great admiration for you and all those who give their time to help others.

Today I have mainly been...preserving. Chutney, jam and bottled cherry tomatoes. It's now 34 in the shade and I am going to cool off in the paddling pool before starting on card making. :sunshine:
