Hi, can anyone give me any guidance on what the % dead weight is (of the live weight) I want to know how heavy my goat must be to end up with about 15kg of meat.  Thanks

With lambs it is about 50%, so I guess it is similar? I found this link:
http://agriculture.vic.gov.au/agriculture/livestock/goats/production/meat-and-offal-yields-of-goats
Hope it helps

depending on breed, I usually allow for 50%, boer or boer cross could be better.
