Dumped kitten
« on: June 20, 2013, 11:17:42 am »
I got called down to our yard yesterday by OH to identify a noise, he thought it was  wildlife, anyway i said sounds like a kitten and sure enough a small black kitten in amoungst the building supplies!

It looks about 6-7 weeks old a little skinny but very affectionate.
It definitely isn't a feral.

Called local vets to see if any one had reported one lost but nothing.
The nearest property is one and a half miles away so hasn't wandered to us. We are in the process of building a cattery so wonder if someone thought it was for rescue cats and dumped him in the yard! so looks like we have a new addition!

(Spent 28.00 on wormer and flea treatment from the vets, wish I was still in practice!!)

Our old lab likes him and let him snuggle up to her on the sofa last night, Our Burmese boys who are 8yrs have hissed every time they come face to face with the kitten, who doesn't take any notice of it. I have a large wire cage so kitten spent the night in there and as I type it is curled up on my arm, so has made himself at home.

This  :)

I suspect, if you've a cattery, this wee fella (or felless) will be the first of many... ;) ::)

lol think it is here to stay  :innocent: Not so sure the boys will welcome it with open arms, there are on our bed at the moment consoling each other. Think I did well as a vet nurse in not bring home every stray that needed a home!
Did hope our next addition would have been a lab puppy but hey ho maybe next time.
Not sure on a name yet, think may have to wait until the personality develops a little more.
