So day 1 of the July Project was 28th June - it's always good to get a head start :-)The job for the day was to get the electic fence in Sheepfold, which is essentially the ponies' field, renovated. We'd had cattle and sheep in the filed without the electric on and it had taken a bit of a hammering. And Bugsy isn't a great respecter of GOOD electric fence, never mind dodgy ones.

While Dan took out all the wobbly posts, replaced all the broken insulators and banged in the posts in new holes, I had a barrow of sand and a scoop na dfilled in all the old holes. We had friends coming for lunch, so work stopped with a few posts to go in and didn't resume :-)

I was late starting in the morning because Smokey's lame in his off fore, so I was cleaning and soaking his hoof, then got distracted by brushing him and Bug. I don't know why the big fella's lame - there's no heat or swelling, nothing on the sole of his hoof that looks dodgy so he's had some bute and we'll see how he is tomorrow (Sunday).

So end of Day 1 and we're a bit behind but tomorrow's job isn't too timeconsuming, on paper at least :-)
