Trailer man needed - east sussex
« on: January 14, 2012, 06:29:01 pm »
Hi all,

Annoyingly I found the details of  local man who ran a 'man and trailer' business whereby (all above board and defra paperworked!) he'd pick up pigs (for example) and take them to wherever.

I've now lost his details and need them as have 2 pigs off to slaughter in a month or so. As a small smallholder I have no trailer!

Any help guys?

Try Charles Bull - he is in Kent, and goes by CB Livestock services - he maybe the guy you were thinking about - his mobile is 07825 665498. We know Charles well, so by all means mention our name

Or you could Mark Cottington at Ardingly Arks - Mark is just setting up this service - see his website

you say as a smallholder you have no trailer........... as an idea.... ive just purchased a livestock trailer off ebay was looking for a cheap horse box but got one a bit lower about small pony height..... i got it as a pig house that is easally moved about, i got it for the extra 3 pigs i got but the other 4 deserted their shelter and all 7 sleep in the trailer, ............ i also now have a trailer that they will easally go in when its time  for slaughter... all in very good condition just mudgaurds missing, thats a pig shelter and trailer for £200,

Hi Mel

Would be happy to give you a quote for your Pig movements when the time comes, as Oaklands said, we have recently started animal movements, all fully insured and licenced with a proper livestock trailer.
