I can't believe they aren't willing to refund you. Not only that, but there is no way they can charge you for the butchery when you haven't got what they are expecting you to pay for!

Totally ridiculous.

With a private kill the head is your property (as is the pluck) and the abattoir have no grounds to deny you your property unless it has been condemned (highly unlikely) by the meat inspectors/vet.
