I started off with a 850 mini - £100, but swiftly moved onto a Datsun Cherry 100a - £150, which was a brilliant wee car.
From there, a Hillman Imp Sport - £100.... another great car, but you needed to be double jointed to get into the back seat
Mk1 Ford Escort 1.3 Sport - £30, bought for scrap, but 2 days later was back on the road with fresh MOT & tax.
Morris Marina 1.8tc - £200, lovely comfy car, but hated corners.
Mk2 Escort 1600 Sport - £1200, loved this car, but someone liked it better & relieved me of it.
Mk2 Escort Mexico - £1000, another good car until a taxi run up my arse & wrote it off
Lada Riva project - £50, rebuilt using Fiat 2.0 twin-cam engine, box & Escort rear end, Bilstein suspension etc. Flew like the wind & sold it on for a good profit.
S2a 88" Landrover - £500, just fancied something different, but remained single for the 9 months i had her, so sold it
Renualt 11 Turbo - £1000, another flying machine, same as 5 turbo, but with cheaper insurance, wish i'd kept it.
Renualt 21 turbo - £1500, a fast luxury car.... needs towbar for hauling fuel bowser.
Mazda 323 turbo - £2000, like clutches & center diffs... sold on rapidly
GOT MARRIED
Nissan Sunny 1.5 - £500, great wee car that never failed to start.
Renualt 21 2.0 - £500, a lot better on fuel than it's turbocharged brother... 42 mpg on a run.
Ford Mondeo Ghia Diesel Estate - £4000, very underated workhorse, kept for 8 years.
GOT DIVORCED
New Toyota Avensis Tx4 D4D - £lots, As good as VW, fantastic diesel engine, sold to fund house move.
Landrover Discovery v8 LPG - £5000, what more can you say... was offered crazy money to sell, so i did.
Another Mondeo diesel - £500, went great til the pump went & couldn't source a replacement cheaply.
Citroen Picasso 1.8 - £2000, wish i'd never bought it...can't get comfy, crap on fuel, anyone wanna buy it ?
