(and yesterday) ... moving tractor implements and a trailer around my stores area together with a lot of flailing & strimming, assisted by a friend, and some earth moving in order to create a semi-permanent parking position for my wee caravan. By around midday today, we were ready for the caravan move which has been residing in a neighbour's field for couple of weeks (suggested by him so that he could get his mower onto my Field 2 and because his field more secure than mine). Well: he had had to move the 'van, which was OK (I'd left key to the tow-ball lock in case), but after much scratching of heads at the noise it was making, while being towed back to my Fields, investigation showed that rear end of the rod controlling 'van brakes was bent and dragging on the ground !
I've yet to inquire as to who actually reversed the 'van into some low-level rigid obstruction,
but that's obviously what's happened and I need, really, to establish whether was neighbour's fault or sellers fault (with, in latter case, the consequence not appearing until now). It's gonna have to be done, but it's gonna be awkward.
Sometimes it better not to accept a favour for a favour!!!
