I buy my food from BOCM Paul by the ton, price = £6 25kg

I bought the weaners at MM and I have actually bought some for £8 each too!
You can check the hog prices online from past sales

I take my pigs to a butcher in Doncaster :)  Slack and son

Happy now? :)

Thanks for the info Jackie are you happy with how slack and sons work?

Mind you from where I'm in Lincolnshire nipping 20 minutes to Boston or an hour and a half to Doncaster means it will still be better using the Butcher and abattoir there

I will have to go home to get my pigs done. Can not beleave Slacks are still going. I know Donny is cheap but £6 a bag means its worth a journey.

Hassle Slacks have always been good for me, however the boston one wasnt, I didnt get all of my pigs back from there so only went once.

feel free to pm me if you know something I dont.

BOCM Paul delivers so you dont have to go anywhere to get food the price I do :) I buy my chicken food off them too, layer pellets by the ton but finisher by the half ton

I just took 2 of our saddle backs to slaughter this week and have sold two sides one @ £130 not butchered and £160 butchered, not including bacon or sausages!
Keep your prices up! It's a premium product so people should be prepared to pay for it!!
Good luck!

My apologies  :-J    But you did say £6 per 25kg sack not by the tonne
I still cant see how your transport costs are only adding up to a Tenner but hey ho

Well done you

i have to say some of the old boys at melton think i am startk raving mad paying my feed prices most of them buy in much cheaper some by £80 pt so i am not over surprised by jackies prices as i think she is from around there.

we all have the same option to shop around and then try and beet them down to the last penny when buying in feed the bigger the order the bigger the discount should be.
we can still learn if we are willing to listen.
