Mine arrive on Monday - thank you - starting slowly as first goat turned her nose up!! just something just a wee bit different - probably the boys will end up benefiting the most as they always 'hoover' up after everyone!!

Started mine Monday evening too and was amazed that they gobbled up their food as usual and spent more time licking the bowl so they must like it. :yum:

Hi Wytsend

Had mine a few days now, but not had any internet or phone (cable theft) to let you know.

Mine didn't turn their noses up at it but I but found most of the powder in the bottom of the feed bucket the first day, second day chopped carrots and sprinkled the powder on them  powder stuck to the wet cut carrots then I added them to the dry mix, clean bucket  ;)

will report back when they have had a bit more time to show effects
How long did you say it would take me to dig this 5 acres with my spade?

I have always found it easier to mix with soaked sugar beet.     Juno will benefit greatly because of her legs.... Jalani will benefit from better fertility etc, her colouring will improve.... lot of little things that may not notice at this time of year.

Milking is the obvious test for most goats   but I firmly believe that fewer goats will have milk fever next year if they are having this mineral mix,  and that also goes for mastitis.

Mine arrived today.  I tgried my girls with a sprinkling on a banana skin and they ate it no trouble so I mixed some into their feed tonight.  "Eurggh!  Yuk!" etc.  I stirred some treacle into one bucket and a head instantly went in, so it'll be interesting to see how the buckets are in the morning.

Banana skins!  Treacle!   :o  My learning curve is going up MG!  My pygmies seem to be devouring their food with the secret powder on - only had a couple of feeds so far so it will be good to see what will happen - two are middle aged pygmies and one is not even a year yet, promise to get word to all those who need it and a note on TAS too :o

Having struggled  for many years to get my ponies to eat any powder mixed in their feed, I did wonder about the goats with this - especially as it does have rather a strong smell.  (Bet the postman wondered what on earth I was getting in that brown envelope ;D)  But, so far so good. Not had a problem with the milking goats turning their noses up ...yet.

Will report back soon with my findings :)

Do you know any horse owners - they make be able to give you a bit of sugar beet to soak, then you can mix the powder in there - thats what I have done.

I assume you are speaking of Jalani ?   If so,  her colouring should be black brown & white  !!!!!    If this is the case, then your soil/feed has a copper deficiency which the minerals will adjust.
Juno's colouring will 'brighten' with the additional copper.

Grumpsgarden...... hopefully you haven't used the recommended dose to start with !!

Try just half a teaspoon in soaked sugar beet.... a lot of goats.. mine included.. were sceptical to start with,  and now have no problems.
