Globe artichokes?
« on: December 26, 2017, 03:39:16 pm »

Anyone growing these successfully in Southern Scotland or thereabouts? We are about 300ft up, so not high, site a bit exposed, but depending on plant height I could easily put wind break round the bed.

If yes, what variety would be best suited?

Just to say I've tried and not managed to overwinter them.  We are much higher than you though.  I tried in the tunnel too, but overwintering was the same problem.  Shame - I love them  :yum:
I'll be interested to hear if you succeed.
