I am feeding Farmgate non GM finisher pellets and paying £7.00 a 20kg bag. I would be interested in what others are paying for for the same kind of product and also your thoughts on Farmgate Feeds. I am in the Notts/Derbyshire area.

Farmgate is a 'rip off' for smallholders....I pay £5.50 per 25kg bag from Massey Foods...great quality and excellent service...two day delivery guaranteed.

Hello,

We are agents for farmgate (Bocm Pauls).

The Farmgate pig finisher is quite expensive - but you pay for what you get really with livestock feed.

We dont do mail order of single bags anymore, the postage kills that one dead, although did once send six bags of pig feed to central london....

Anyway, if you were interested in a Tonne of feed (50 Bags) then we would do sow & weaner at £5.75 per bag with free delivery to mainland UK.

Thanks

Gareth

i checked up massey foods online and all i got was a site about meats and other food items.
couldnt find anything got to do with feeding the actual pig.
would love to find this site as that price is a bargain.
do you have to buy in bulk as we ever only have 4-5 pigs at a time.

you  can buy farmgate feeds direct from BOCM, you have to buy at least a tonne and the cost is A LOT less than £7 a bag

They also do a range of commecial pig feed, chicken food, cattle feed etc, the ton can be mixed, we but 3 ton at a time of mixed feed and its very competative

£6.30 for Farmgate finisher in North Staffordshire. I can't buy in bulk as I only have two pigs at a time.
