Not accidental & not a smallholder, hoping that won't bar us.  I was convinced I'd signed up ages ago, but apparently not. I/we have a smallish mixed traditional family farm in the NE of Scotland. We fatten heifers, grow barley & grass,  a very small hobby flock of heinz 57 sheep, have 2 KuneKune sows (outside pets), one pot licker of a farm dog and 3 farm cats.

Plenty of other farmers on here too.  If you think you fit here, you do :)

I'm definitely a non-accidental smallholder these days but was a wannabee smallholder became an accidental farmer for a decade, north of Hadrian's Wall.  Wouldn't have missed those experiences for the world but glad to be on a smaller scale these days.

Love to know more about your small hobby sheep flock - do you spin :spin:, by any chance?  My flock became very varied and contains non-breeders as well as breeders, friends say I blend my wool on the sheep!  lol.
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
