Sorry to hear about your heart attack.  Hope you make a speedy recovery.  Someone must be looking after all your birds for you?

My brother had a heart attack recently, at 47 years old. Back and forth to the doctor for a week, and then the hospital.  No idea what was wrong, suggested hearburn. Then in the middle of the night he got pains in his arms and chest. Took 2 aspirin and back to bed, then the doctors in the morning. Rushed to hospital then. The aspirin probably saved his life.  He had stents in, and is now back at work.  Got to take it easy, and lose more weight, but he is a lot better.

It made me stop and think - I could be at risk if its a family thing.

70 hours a week is probably twice what most people do, Gary!!  My husband does that many hours, and has two jobs.  I have told him to cut back, but he says we need the money from his jobs, as well as mine.  I am out from 6am until midnight feeding and watering animals all over the place......so suppose I too am at risk.

Will the money you earn in 70 hrs mean anything if you are dead? No my friend you must change your lifestyle and soon. Your body has given you a warning!  Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I am 53 in October ...had my heart attack about 18 months ago . Trying too hard to dig virgin land with a pick axe...I was stuck, just collapsed in the middle of my veggie plot on my land not visible to anyone . The pain was unbelievable ... couldn't walk couldn't even get up .. couldn't even crawl . Anyway after a few hours of agony and terror at the thought of kicking the bucket , I managed to walk up the very steep hill to the 4x4 , which I was still using then . It took me a couple of hours to move about 100 yards.
I got home , after stopping at the shop to get some aspirin !!! which I took 2 of in the shop  . Sat down and fell asleep . Woke up later feeling horrible , but not at deaths door . They are not fun HA's .. now I walk to the land and do gentle digging and only in limited amounts a day . I am on aspirin everyday now , but it looks like I will need to have more tests as it gets a bit uncomfortable sometimes ... Blood pressure and heart beat are absolutely perfect so the doc says ...So ECG and tests here we come .... Hope everything works out ok with yours .... You can still get most things done ... you just have to do it a bit more gently ... 'chill out' as they say in the modern vernacular...  ::) ;D

cheers

Well Gary someone upstairs likes you as you have just had the warning!  Some people never get a second chance so use it well.   Take stock of your life and see how you can reduce your stress.   Remember money cannot buy good health.   All the best for a quick recovery.

Im so sorry to hear you have had an MI but as others have already told you this is a warning that your body cannot and will not take anymore abuse.

Good luck with getting to understand that need for change in your life, I know its hard to do.

I hope it all works out well for you Gary.
