If they aren't registered, they aren't Ryelands since registration is "proof" of the breed. They are just sheep that look like Ryelands.
There is no inspection of Ryelands pre registration - maybe there should be, but the Society relies on breeders to exercise discretion and apply the breed standard. I suppose if you have a very small breed, numerically, you need to keep everything until you can afford to be selective (I don't mean keeping unviable stock, of course)
