Again another plant to id

Again is this safe to graze sheep around, it is found underneath a damp hedge/ trees.

Looks like ground elder from the leaves, but not if those thorned stems are part of the plant. Are they the same plant?

Looks like dogs mercury to me. I don't have specific knowledge of sheep but it kills dogs and people if eaten so I wouldn't risk it.

I will make sure it's fenced off. My it's good from my plant identification, I'm walking the fields and lanes studying leave shapes etc
