wether news not looking good

The warm and dry end to May is now a dim and distant memory with all the weather headlines this week surrounding the very wet conditions and flooding in parts of southern England and Wales. With the Jetstream remaining in close attendance over the coming days there's no let up in the unsettled conditions either with more showers today and further wet and windy weather arriving during tomorrow. Starting with today, it's western England, Wales and the east of Scotland which have started the day with the majority of the showers, but they will become more widespread as the day wears on and will also become heavier and potentially thundery in southern and western parts in particular. Another 10-25mm of rain is possible in western England and Wales which could well lead to further localised flooding, particularly as during the heaviest showers a good amount call fall in a short space of time. As ever the latest flooding info and warnings can be found via the Environment Agency Website. Many of the showers will tend to die away overnight, leaving just a few drizzly patches of rain by tomorrow morning. It'll not last though with further sharp showers developing in the southwest ahead of a spell of persistent and heavy rain which will move up from the southwest during the second part of the day. It'll be windy too - with gales possible close to coasts. Into Friday the wet and windy weather continues to move northeast with heavy, blustery and potentially thundery showers following in behind it. Saturday then sees a day of sunshine and showers with Sunday very similar albeit with some more persistent rain likely to affect southern regions.
