Now I try to get up and listen to this as often as I can. I'm amazed there's a day dedicated to it but WOW, it's well worth celebrating!

This is an interesting idea , I think we might get the kids up and make the most of it.

We are running a 'sonic bloom' experiment this year with tomatoes. Growing them with no root feed at all (containers of sawdust), and using birdsong to stimulate there ability to feed through their leaves.

Research in the states has shown that plants have a much larger capacity to feed in this way than is currently utilised, due mainly to the comparative lack of birdsong now to times years ago when their habitat was more widespread.

We want to see the results from purely foiliar feeding in conjunction with birdsong as a datum and then hopefully provide full hi-fi in all the tunnels!!

We had an early rising on Sunday morning, and at 6.15am found ourselves sat out in the garden drinking a cuppa and enjoying the beautiful sounds of the birds. I cannot remember the last time I actually did this and it was so wonderful.

Not only that, the little frogs were hopping back into their little nooks in the wall, and everything was just so tranquille.

We had a lovely half an hour, recommended to all - (not every day mind you, I was knackered last night!).

Bonjour et avoir un bon jour !
