Did anyone see the report that Nick Clegg is almost as popular as Churchill was!  Quite amazing!

It has been hinted at this morning that the Government may possibly declare a state of emergency due to this no fly ban, therefore postponing the election.

I have already declared my own state of emergency......I could get stuck here in Africa if they dont fly soon

Perhaps there's another way of looking at the Barclays 'threat'. Rather than assume that they are trying to bully people into voting for their favoured party, (hardly something a sane Conservative leader would endorse knowing how popular bankers currently are), perhaps they are warning that if Brown gets back in either in his own right or in a deal with Clegg, it is their considered opinion that the country will be bankrupted.

Only a thought.

Chancellor - Must have serious eyebrow growth issues
Education - Must be prepared for 6 month post before being replaced
Health - Free Bupa as you now the real cock up in the NHS

And dont forget my pedigree chums, you get a free house and to eat in restaurants that would cost us mere mortals more than a weeks salary, not to mention the outrageously great holidays.

I'll be voting Labour as I always have. Although I live in the South West and I guess the Lib Dems will do even better than usual this time, I believe in voting for what you believe in. And I believe, education, the NHS, the economy, yes the economy despite world recession, have done much better under Labour than they would have done otherwise. I believe most people who are not in what is disrespectfully called 'the underbelly of society' are better off now than they were 13 years ago. Yes, as there alway has been, there is much rural poverty, but the basic services are there for all. Transport (since Tory de-reguation) and fuel/water prices (since Tory privatisation) are a problem for many and that needs addressing. And if Maggie hadn't agreed that people could buy council houses at knock down prices with none of the money going back into housing, there would be a stock of social housing there for those who need it now, particularly in villages and small towns. I don't agree with the war but I do believe that Labour went into it in good faith and mistakenly believe in what they were doing. Wow this should put the cat among the pigeons!

I don't think anyone should be criticised for voting for waht they believe in.

I think an awful lot of harm was done by the previous Tory government like the privatisation of the utilities, the transport system and so on, that I can't se ever being undone. I'm a socialist by nature but I think we need some fresh ideas particularly around Trident / nuclear and political reform. Maybe a hung parliament will make that happen. I could NEVER vote Tory.

I will be voting Conservative. When I got married under a labour government I could not get a council house and took out a mortgage at 14% to

buy a very small flat above a bookies.

I agree it was a mistake selling off the council houses and not reinvesting the money but houses are available if you are either an  immigrant or a

single mother, in the time conservative were in power we managed to buy a nice house, save some money and run a successful business, all be

it a very small one. Today my husband has had to go abroad to work at 63 doing a job that should be done by someone half his age, he should

have retired last year on a decent pension which Gordon Brown stole, my business is struggling, I have had to lay off one of my workers ( I did

only have 2) and if Labour get back into power then I have no hope of surviving as I am dependant on the construction industry

Sorry Starcana but there is no way Labour went into Iraq in good faith and lets be honest we are only in Afghanastan to suck up to the

Americans. :censored:

I agree with you Starcana. I have always voted Labour but I am voting SNP as a tactical vote and because of Trident and the illegal war. In the event of a hung parliament minority parties will have a strong hand. The Tories do not, and never will have, a mandate to govern in Scotland. We have never recovered from what Thatcher and co did to us north of the border in terms of health/hospitals, housing, transport and our heavy industry. Not to mention the Poll Tax!

Well I will be voting conservative. I own my own business and I'm sick of being taxed within an inch of my life with all the tax breaks you used to get gone and the Tories have promised a review of ir35 which is a real worry for consultants. My son can't find any work other than in a crisp factory and even then he competes for shifts with bloody economic migrants. Who btw I don't blame for coming here why wouldn't you if it offers a better living. I blame the labour government. So never again will I vote labour and the lib dems want to let in anyone so nope Tory for me. Even sorted voting by proxy as we are meant to be in USA.

well we will get the government we deserve! We are quick to complain but wouldn't dream of doing anything about it. Even now when we have the chance to make a difference we will still vote ( or not)for the same thing.

I don't vote...never have.

Those who do have a task ahead of them in making the all important decision.

The Tories are talking about repeal of the Hunting Act, if that's any help. ;) ;D

:)i am sick and tired of living under labour, my OH is self employed we started the bussiness during the last recession but nothing could compare to the last 18 months or so with no help from the government they tax us to an inch of going out of bussiness and hand it out to the lazy so and so's that refuse to work.
the local labour candidate says he will take a 25% pay cut if elected and give it back to the country he wants to live in the real world our turnover last year was almost 50% down.
for the first time ever we are openly supporting a candidate we have a 4 x 4 poster on one of our gates and two smaller ones on the grass verge outside our house in support of our local conservative candidate.
