WE also use J & J for our sheep and pigs, yes the lane can be arduous however when we have taken livestock they still appear calm when we get there.

The people are great with them,  and the final product is well cut and presented I would recommend them to any in the area.

Very thoughtful post, well put.  We are so thankful that we have a small abbatoir at Chard, with kind staff.

 It is horrible to see the huge lorries, triple decks and with a 3 deck trailer going into the large slaugterhouse on my way to work.  Surely there is no need to drive hundreds of miles to take animals to slaughter?  Many of them drive down from Scotland ???
