How to save a page from the internet

Can anyone tell me how to download and internet page so even it is changed later I still have a copy of the page as it exists today

you can do a screen shot, with the print screen button on your computer (mines next to the delete key)


once you hit print screen open, paint (everyone has paint) and right click on a new file and click paste.


that should give you effectively a photograph of what was on your screen.


you can also save content to view offline in most browsers but not sure that won't update when you go online and look again...

Don't know what browser you have but in Firefox I have an option File - save as and it goes to downloads folder as a complete web page.  Haven't tried it to see whether it's updated but imagine it wouldn't as it's the page as is, saved, not a link..

I've tried that when I had IE and it did update Ellie, I haven't tried with Chrome.

In W7 etc you click on the Start button, and it's visible there or in the Programmes list, but thsi might help with W8

Thanks doganjo = did you know they are binning windows 8 soon.  I wonder what they will inflict on us next!!!


Mind you as soon as I am in one place long enough I have an iphone and ipad on order so maybe I will be tempted to bin Microsoft altogher
