Clackmannanshire Horticultural Society Annual Show 12th September

The above show takes place next Saturday 12th September in the Devonvale Hall, Tillicoultry. The hall is open to the public from 1pm until 4.30pm.

There are classes for fruit, vegetables, floral art, handicrafts, home baking and preserves. It's 50p to enter for non-members and prizes of up to £6 per class can be won!!

The Hall will be open for entries from 6.30pm to 10pm on Friday 11th and 7am to 9am on Saturday.

There are classes for Desert sp. Fruit - 4 homegrown apples on a plate and a collection of homegrown soft fruits, displayed on a plate

There are loads of classes for vegetables - too many to list here, but if anyone is thinking about entering, please ask fro more details.

Baking and preserves - 1 pot of jelly (named); 1 pot of Blackcurrant Jam; 1 pot of Strawberry jam; 1 pot of Raspberry Jam; 1pot of Marmalade; 1 jar of chutney (named); sultana cake round or square; gingerbread round or square; 3 large muffins; fruit loaf baked in a loaf tin; filled Victoria sponge; 6 peppermint creams; 4 unfilled meringues; 4 pieces of cooked traybake; 3 cheese scones; 3 pancakes; 4 truffles; 4 squares table; 4 shortbread fingers

Handicrafts - handmade greeting card; item of jewellery; soft toy; thrift article; scrapbook page seaside theme; quilted article; article in counted thread embroidery; article in tapestry; article in woodwork; any other craft article; article in glass painting; acylic painting; water colour; adults knitted garment; child's knitted garment.

Photography - under 16; novice adult and amateur photographer - all photos to have a gardening theme. And an open class, for any subject. Photos to be 180mm x 30mm, mounted on card without frame.
