we all get a mental image and sometimes its best ( in my case)  :innocent:

;D When I worked for a big local authority, the head of communications was American. I had only ever spoken to him on the phone and he had the most wonderful, rich chocolate voice, if you know what I mean. When I met him, he was about 5ft tall, skinny with frizzy hair - what a letdown. He was a really nice bloke but oh, that voice. :eyelashes:

:roflanim: , I ran a business with my mum until I left to have children, we employed a women in her 50's to wash up, she had moderate learning difficulties and was under 5 ft tall and about 5ft round too  but her voice was very sweet and high pitched, so many men who phoned to order food were very disappointed when they saw who had taken the order! Maybe that could be an interesting (maybe insulting) thread, people who have never met us describe each of us..  :roflanim:

So glad Fish is home. We had one go missing for 6 months so I know how worrying it is. Fish is a great name. My friend had one called Horse and another friend had one called Paws.

I'm so pleased to hear that Fish is home, albeit a little the worse for wear.  :cat:

I've had a cat travel 6 miles in the engine compartment of a gold Rover; in the end he got fed up of waiting for me to find him (which was not for the want of trying!), went into a house with a cat flap where he'd been pinching food all week, sat in the middle of their lounge and yowled.  They said he practically pointed to his name tag on his collar and said, "Could you please give her a ring?"  Ever after that, on car journeys he would be stood on the knees of the passenger with his head in the air vent on the dash - I'm sure he was memorising the route so he could find his way home if he needed to.

25 miles of unknown terrotiry though... I wonder did she somehow manage to cross country herself, or did she hitch a ride back in the vehicle she went out in?

My friend had a dog used to use the bus on his own ::)

A lovely cat. Our ginger tom went missing recently and returned 3 weeks later looking very thin and dehydrated, we think he had been shut in somewhere. A day at the vets on a drip and lots of food now he is home and he has bounced back to his old self, so much so he went out last night and hasn't been seen this morning! How they like to play on our emotions!
