I'm so pleased to hear that Fish is home, albeit a little the worse for wear.

I've had a cat travel 6 miles in the engine compartment of a gold Rover; in the end he got fed up of waiting for me to find him (which was
not for the want of trying!), went into a house with a cat flap where he'd been pinching food all week, sat in the middle of their lounge and yowled. They said he practically pointed to his name tag on his collar and said, "Could you please give her a ring?" Ever after that, on car journeys he would be stood on the knees of the passenger with his head in the air vent on the dash - I'm sure he was memorising the route so he could find his way home if he needed to.
25 miles of unknown terrotiry though... I wonder did she somehow manage to cross country herself, or did she hitch a ride back in the vehicle she went out in?
My friend had a dog used to use the bus on his own
