I am lucky in that my neighbouring farmer also shears and travels to do other peoples. He has done a couple of years in NZ where they have very 'hairy' sheep, like my Ryelands so he wasn't phased by them. He did think they were Dorsets though and was pleased when I told him what they were as its another breed he can cross off his list.
He must be quite good as he is entering the shearing competition at the Royal Welsh show. He won there in 2008.
