What age to start halter training?
« on: April 01, 2013, 10:35:03 am »
Taffy is only 2 weeks old so I think I am a bit premature with this but just wondered when would be best to start halter training.
He is out in the field with his mum and a couple of other ewes. At the moment I am still able to pick him up twice a day for a cuddle, when I feed his mum, but he is getting bigger so I won't be able to do that for much longer.
Life is like a bowl of cherries, mostly yummy but some dodgy bits

I don't bother until after weaning, unless you have a reason to do it earlier.  I personally wouldn't do it until they are a good "chunky" size.
