There will be others who disagree
but I think they're a good pork producer.
They'll take longer to reach slaughter size (around 10-12 months old) - but the plus point is they don't eat as much (1 lb of hard feed per day and plenty of grass to roam in)
They'll not do the same damage to your land as bigger pigs and they are incredibly easy to manage and a real pleasure to keep (charming little pigs !) and the pork is
great fantastic
They so often get written off as being too fatty to be any good, but I've got to say that it's down to the feeding - so isn't really
their fault
