Congratulations he is is lovely-  was it a straight forward lambing?
Very new to this all.  (very) Smallholder since March 2011 


12 Registered Soay sheep (8 breeding ewes, 2 Rams, 1 wether, 1 retired ewe) 5 Hens, 2 Cats, 1 labrador puppy

Yes. When I went down for my second sheepy check at 7 o clock, I thought she had lambed and left it because she looked thinner! I could then see that her bump had dropped and she didnt want her breakfast. Kept a close eye on her until 11 o clock but apart from appearing a bit hunched and with an elevated tail she seemed fine and stayed with the flock. I thought it could be several hours because she looked like she was only in early labour ( according to my magazine!) so left her so that I could make something to eat. 20 past 11, hubbie went to check on her. She had made her way into the shelter, given birth and was cleaning him up!

Hope the little lad is okay overnight. Its very cold up here.
