my girls have been having the mineral for a week now. my milking girl has increased her yield (ekk!), but she seems much better in her self. she is increasingly cheeky and is gaining a shine on her coat. tonight I also noted her udder is much softer! I  guess all this is the mineral? the non milkers have negligible differences.

how do we obtain more?

You need to contact Kym Moore at Brinicombes regarding supplies.

This goes for everybody who has had samples... Kym is in charge, as it were !, of all communications regarding the goat minerals.

Ring or email her,  either way she will respond.

We are really thrilled at the responses received so far.... all appears positive.

My sample arrived on Saturday.  I started my goats with a small pinch because they have been very picky about their food ever since I got them, which is only a couple of months ago.

Although the smell of the mix is quite strong, they both ate it without hesitation.  So I have gradually increased the amount at each feed.

Now looking to record any changes.  I thought my milker's flow was better this morning but I'll assess this more over the next few days.

So far, all going well!

Now I've had a chance to assess my two GGs over a reasonable period, I am sure the mineral mix has made a difference.  I have just reduced their feed because they have put on weight - previously they were often fussy about food and never finished a meal, now they lick the bucket clean so they have better appetite and find the mineral additive appealing.  Coats feel smoother and shinier.

Although milk quantity hasn't increased the general attitude of my milker is calmer and her udder is softer.

I will send my findings to Brinicombs and hope this is available to buy soon!

Yes please, could you send your  'report' as soon as possible.... Managing Director of Brinicombes is very interested in all our findings.

Production of the mineral mix is looking better than 60/40 now.... probably in the New Year given how close we are to Christmas.

Everybody will be contacted with details of pricing & package sizes etc. in due course...... being positive !!!!

hi,
our goats have devoured the sample, mixed with their calf nuts with a bit of soya oil. the 2 kids werent too keen but the billy and preg nannies loved it.
id be happy to buy in the future if it comes available. i couldnt really tell any benefits in  a short of time, tho (maybe im imagining they looked a bit darker in colour)
id like to try it long term to see if their coat darkens up as their chocolate patches are almost blonde on the ends. it must smell good cos the mice nibbled a hole in packet.

just a question - as u cant feed fishmeal to cows/sheep, is it ok for goats? i was just wondering as iv had feed samples taken before by AH? and u cudnt disguise the smell!!

all good, so will contact the blokie soon xxx
thankyou

No fishmeal included..... it was salmon oil.... this is one that has been approved for use in bovine feeds.

Why the fish oil? Goats wouldn't normally eat anything fishy?

I always had trouble keeping my goat out of the hens' layers' pellets and was told that it was the fish in it that attracted her.

The only people who can answer why fish oil was included are the manufacturers Brinicombes..... I am sure Kym will be able to answer this question.

I left all the actually devising of the mix to the experts.... just supplied theinfor regarding the requirements of goats.!!!!!
