I love knitting small things but would rather use my loom for larger things

thanks so much
You have inspired me to start knitting again and that takes some doing.  I think because it is a small project  I will be able to do it quickly whereas a long bum length jumper takes a tad longer.  Thanks again.

Me too.  Thanks  :bouquet:

Emma T, I think we need to knit you a sling to catch yourself in when you fall!  :D

Hi Ellisr,

Can i have a copy of your pattern please

I have arthritis in my hands/fingers so find they get stiff if its cold, these mitts sound just the thing and small enough that my hands would cope with the knitting bit.

Does anyone have any spare sheep or Alpaca wool they would be willing to sell me for this project.

Just finish one glove for me and one bigger and longer for the OH.  Must get on with the other ones now - took me quite a while as the kitten kept trying to help - perhaps I should make her some - anyone got a pattern!! ;D ;D

Could I have a pattern please? I am just mastering knitting (well casting on) and these might be more exciting than the dishcloths I have been making!
Would any weight yarn suit best??

I meant to answer sooner.  I should have some spare yarn for you, no charge.  Do you have a favourite colour?  PM me your address and I will send it off.  They really do make a difference to stiff hands - I'm on my second pair.

I'll PM you the pattern. I have made the pattern for chunky yarn so it is a quick knit

I have just done a pair with a flap that comes over your finger ends but can be buttoned back out of the way and they are great if you are just needing to carry a bucket or sweep a path

Ellisr,
The pair with the flap sound a good idea.  Do you have a pattern for them?

thanks

TBH I just picked up the stitches on the top of the glove  just below the knuckles and knitted the same pattern until it measured double the length of my fingers, cast off and sewed the sides together. I finger knitted a small chain and wove that into the top and sewed a button onto the wrist.

I hope that makes sense, but I will try and put it into a pattern over the weekend may have to do pictures with this one.
