Sandy - Just noticed that 2 of the eggs in the incubator have started to crack so get the cigarettes out!! However, it is not the Aylesbury eggs but I'm sure they won't be too far behind now. I can hear them chirping from inside their shells.:&> :&> :&>

They are 2 days early but wouldn't imagine they will be out before tomorrow.

Kerstin - Doesn't look like you are going to see any ducklings today. Although they have started early taking it very slowly, mind you you never know.

Hi again Sandy. The first Aylesbury egg has started to crack open. I doubt anything will hatch tonight though but this is the exciting time just watching them.

I normally do Annie but for some unknown reason my PC won't let me do it anymore. I have no idea why it has just stopped and it is causing much aggro for me, no idea what to do as I take millions of pics of the animals.

Went into the office where the incubator is this morning and one of the eggs I am hatching for Kerstin has hatched. It must have been out for an hour or so as it was quite dry. It is still very tired and taking things very slowly and now most of the eggs appear to have started so hoping for some more hatchings today.

Annie - think I have the camera sorted out now so will try for pics later.

This is the first of the Aylesbury ducklings hatch. The second one had to be helped, after being clear of its shell for a few minutes it was all still twisted up and it's head was not for sorting itself. Doing well now though.

Must be a struggle and they would have been very tightly curled up, nice to get out and stretch, thanks for that privilege, I shall show Steve when he gets home, he is as excited as me ;D

Annie - they are worth every penny. The joy and amazement as you watch them develp and grow makes the original expense more than worth it. I think that is why I use mine so often and hatch for others, at least when it gets regular use it's been worthe it's money. Number 6 is almost out the shell now.

I would have done ages ago but don't want to be over-run with birds here and not sure how I could sell any surplus.
