Wow singingshearer been looking at your website - old Hercules looks a big old bog - 15kg fleece!! Blimey!!

Does anyone know of any good 12v ones, electric points here are few and far between, would be nice to do dagging and stuff in the field pens.

Hi Baz,

Hercules was the biggest sheep I have sheared so far.
Horners sell the Longhorn 12v shearing machine which is very popular, also they sell 12v motor in handpiece machines.

SfS,

My machine is Chinese and it works better than any Lister that I have used!

Thanks,
Philip :sheep:

Hi Phillip,

Not putting down ALL Chinese Equipment - Just advising people to be wary, You obviously know what you are looking for in a machine, others may not, and what appears to be a "Bargain" may not be in the long run.

Thanks

I have Lister shears with interchangeable head which runs of the car battery and works really well.  HOWEVER, I have just bought the Jakoti hand shears as recommended here and they are BRILLIANT!

I would strongly recommend them as at £20 sheared as quick if not quicker than electric although they are dangerously sharp so need to be really careful.
