Dear Mr Morrell,
Rather than tell you what books i read, perhaps I could explain that I have in my past been... an artist, went to Edinburgh College of Art...plenty of 'life' drawing there! And i am now a nurse...more bodies!! then i got into smallholding, so there are lots of animal 'anatomy' books

LOL, if you had a peruse through my library you could be forgiven for wondering....'can she read...these are all picture books' and 'whats with all the bodies'!!! and then finally 'eeeew where is she going with this?' ;D ;D ;D ;D

So whats hidden in your library? what would you not put on your coffee table for guests to flick through?

ET

Sorry i know this is more encouragment  ::) ::)

So basically ... you've been obsessed by nudity in everything you've done!

I think they only books I've got that I would be ashamed for guests to see are by Dan Brown (really, really must get rid of those) and one cammed "Bread Machine Recipes" which was utterly pathetic with not one of the recipes tried being even close to usable. As for the various books on figure study ... well, a couple of photographer friends sat and browsed through them in a Pizza Hut once. Was fun to watch the expression on the young waiter when he took our order :o

This reminds me of a t-shirt I saw when I was younger (too young to buy it myself  ;)) Which had a picture of a nurse on it with words above "When I grow up I want to be a nurse, so I can help the sick & needy get better" and below the nurse were the words "and see lots of willys !" needless to say, my mum wouldn't buy it for me  ::)
Sorry, a bit off subject - but it made me smile !

No, but folks from England can still buy a calendar, so surely it all works out ok one way or another?

I don't have enough photos, so if anyone would care to send me some nice oens I can include them in the calendar - the prizewinners will be credited with their name, but not others.  I don't care whether the photos come from Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales or Timbuctoo so long as it's Smallholders who have taken them, and preferably related to smallholding.

I'm failing to understand why that makes you angry?

Out of context  - and in reply to a previous post.  I really don't care where the photos come from so long as they are of interst to smallholders.

Not angry but that was the most fitting icon.   :D

Anyhow, back on topic methinks.

No I do not, but it was not what was said in the rules or in the spirit of the competition. Doesn't make me feel welcome though

Please do not let such sentiment taint this for you. The competition was open to everyone on TAS regardless of location, ancestry or taste in music. Your photo of the lamb in the grass was wonderful and deserved to win the category.
