Controlling weeds in large pond
« on: March 01, 2011, 03:30:52 pm »
We have a pond that is about half an acre. Last year we had loads of weeds / rushes/ water irises. At one point it was difficult to see water! We took out loads of the irises by hand however the growth from all other vegetation was humunguous.

We have to get on top of it this year and control the level of weeds, chemically I guess. Can anyone offer me advice on my first point of call? There is no fish in the pond - the otter eats them - and we have ducks and swans that come a calling.
