snowdrops

Every year I see adverts in SF wanting snowdrops "in the green" and I have loads so wondered what the ad meant?

Do they split the bulbs and replant them somewhere after or before flowering ie when there are just green sprouts and not flowers showing?  Or do they mean in grass rather than amongst other bulbs etc or what?

And what quantity would be required for one buyer and what kind of prices are they making?

Sorry, very ignorant questions but I always wanted to ask someone and never knew who might know til I joined here!

In the green is after flowering but before the leaves have died back - that's the best time to lift, split up the bulb clumps and replant :)

No idea about quantities or price, but I know some strains fetch a packet.
