I am interested in raising Tamworth piglets in June.  We live in central NC.  Anyone selling piglets?

Pardon my geographical ignorance (I'm male afterall and never ask for directions) but where is NC?  North Carolina?
They don’t join cliques — more times than not, they stand alone — but they recognize and gravitate towards one another. Only warriors understand other warriors.

You are correct. NC is North Carolina, located in the Atlantic Eastern Seaboard of the US.

Hi there was a yahoo site called Tamworth talk that had USA breeders, I know some lived in New York (state).  Otherwise contact the Tamworth Society via the British Pig Association they should know the whereabouts of registered breeders.

I like the NC Choices page best and if you look there are lots of farms in NC  pasture raising pork and alot starting to practice deep bedding techniques

This is yet another source of info

Tammys are pigalicious!! They are my very favorite pig as anyone who knows me will tell you.  They are naughty but nice, and have just the best of characters!  Ours all come to there names, and really enjoy the whole relationship thing.

I hope you don't have to wait too long to get your piglets, and please tell us all how you get on.

Oh by the way, welcome to TAS!

I feel like I've made a great discovery with this site!  I found my pigs and they are just a few miles down the road from me.  Here I was getting ready to drive all the way to Penn. and there are Tamworths practically in my backyard.   Great advice, folks.   I'll let you know how it goes.  Many Thanks!

Great news about the pigs! Just out of interest, do tell how the Tammies got into your neck of the woods and how long have they been there.  We just love a bit of history.
