which duck?

We have Chickens,Pigs and Horses.We are interested in having some ducks.I like the idea of a blue egg layer.Which is it?What Ducks would you recommend?

Swedish blue lay blue eggs and are a good meat bird.

I have what I have always thought is a khaki campbell female and she lays pale blue eggs.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

KCs aer egg layers, not much meat on them ::) ;)

Swedish blue are a dual bird,mainly for meat though as they are a large duck.....and tasty.

My Runner duck lays a pretty bluey-green egg  :D
20 chickens, 8 ducks, 2 Boxers, 1 polytunnel, 1 orchard, 1 longsuffering husband!

If my five eggs hatch this time they are Blue Swedish x Khaki Campbell, but I won't be eating any of them  ;D ;D

We  are self sufficient so we breed for meat, we did try to sell some but could not keep as they would be related to each other and get a bit freaky :D In the end we had to kill all the young as we only got one bloke who is banned from keeping animals wanting them!
