We have a simple box with a lid, attached to the fence with hefty bolts, plus a flat bit the same size to put your handbag on when you're fossicking for coins. We only have a couple of boxes of eggs for sale at any point, so don't need a bigger affair. The money goes into an open tray, which has spare coins in for change. The box has 'eggs' painted on the lid. It's very wet here and occasionally rain blows in under the lid, so our egg boxes have to be put into small plastic bags which I would rather didn't happen, but they serve the double purpose of stopping the eggs being dropped if there's an earwig in - which happened to the postie

- all smashed

.
We had a more complicated affair when we used to put out veg, jam etc, but people like the very simple box. Oh and no-one ever cheats
