Isn't it amazing how much someone you've never even met can affect you.  I've thought about George everyday since I read this thread.  It also very striking reading the thread how many people George was emailing and PMing.  He would email me regularly asking about my Landy and offering advice.  I know he was in touch with many others and touched us in a way that has completely caught me by surprise.  I will miss him very much and look forward to buying the recipe book.

I think our Wizard was helping that son of his - did you see the dunce's (wizard's) cap at the end of David's post?  George will never die - he is alive and well on this forum. ;D

You're right Annie. We will all remember George fondly and his advice is his legacy on here.

Im so ashamed that unfortunately I didnt make it to Georges funeral cos as I was having a shower I got a bad migraine so spent the day in bed. :(
I had previously ordered a flower arrangement to be sent to the undertakers.

Don't be, Jackie - thoughts speak louder than words, I suspect the stress brought on your migraine.

thank you. it wasnt something we wanted to go there for....so i mucked in and took over the animal care  i got to chase goats who escaped out of their field who cant understand english and ducks that insisted on lying in the road in front of cars, fed chickens with kitchen waste...that felt odd. i had to check it was allowed and kept getting funny looks and repies of they eat anything

It is amazing how differently the rules are interpreted in different EU countries.  I think in France they just treat them as guide lines.

I think of the wiz everyday and sometimes when the photo comes up I forget he is no longer with us just for a moment. I guess he is still with us while ever we think of him?
